A romantasy serial
told in stolen chapters and unsent letters

He calls her Vaelyth. In the old tongue, stillwater, the one still thing in a life built entirely of moving currents.

Every month, one chapter takes you back to the beginning: the first time he saw her, the first time she laughed at something that wasn’t funny, the choice that cost her everything she was born into. And every month, one letter arrives from the present, written after she’s gone, to a woman who may never read it, in a hand that hasn’t stopped reaching for her.

This is a love story told twice. Once as it happened. Once as it’s grieved.

An intimate correspondence from a love that outlives lifetimes.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this connected to your other work?

Letters to Vaelyth stands entirely on its own. You don’t need to know anything else I’ve written to fall into this one. Whether it connects to anything else is something you’ll find out in time.

You can, but I’d encourage you not to. The letters are written from a single held moment, after everything in the chapters has already happened. Reading them in order is part of the experience.

Season One tells the story of the falling.

It ends where the next story begins.

When Season One concludes, your existing correspondence will remain in your Archive. Members will receive details about Season Two before its release, including any changes to the membership.

And no, we’re not telling you what happens yet.

You can. Choose the membership you’d like to give, and we’ll take care of the rest.

Just be certain the person you’re gifting it to enjoys mysterious men, impossible love stories and receiving letters they weren’t expecting.

Depending on your membership, you’ll receive access to:

  • A new chapter from Aeson’s perspective (about 4,000 words)
  • A letter from Aeson to Vaelyth (about 1,000 words)
  • An archive fragment from their world
  • Occasional hidden details, symbols and discoveries
  • And, perhaps, things we can’t tell you about yet…

A new correspondence is released every month. Once released, it becomes part of your permanent archive.

Your private collection of every correspondence you’ve unlocked. Each month reveals another fragment of Aeson and Islae’s story, along with pieces of the world surrounding them.

Absolutely not. The Archive is yours. Read when you want, revisit old correspondence whenever you like, and take your time.

There is romance. There is longing. There is desire. There are moments when the correspondence gets decidedly warmer.

But Letters to Vaelyth is a love story first.

Think slow burn, aching tension, stolen moments and emotional intimacy, rather than explicit erotica.

Some correspondence contains mature romantic content. Any correspondence containing explicit content will be clearly marked before you open it.

Yes. Your Archive will unlock according to your membership, including previous correspondence available to your tier. You won’t have to wait for the next season to begin.

Your monthly correspondence arrives as a physical bundle, including the chapter, letter and archive fragment, printed on carefully selected papers and finished with details designed to make it feel like it has travelled directly from Aeson’s world to yours.

Yes, we do but it may take longer to reach you.

Perhaps.

Some things are simply fragments of Aeson’s world.

Some things may be noticed only by those who are paying attention.

And a few things are not meant to be understood yet.

Ask Aeson.

He has spent a lifetime trying to explain it.

Because some stories are not meant to be told all at once.

Because there are things easier to write than say.

Because sometimes the person you’re writing to is no longer there to answer.

And because a letter can survive the person who wrote it.
